The Second Awards Ceremony for THE ORDER OF THE “GOLDEN BEE” of WSBF e.V. was held on the 29th of August 2010 at the First APIMONDIA Conference on Organic Beekeeping (Sofia, Bulgaria).
The winner of an honorary award of WSBF e.V. in the nomination “For long-term research work on the promotion of bee products and apitherapy” is the founder of the International Honey Commission, PhD STEFAN BOGDANOV (Switzerland, Mühlethurnen)

I have devoted all my academic life to bee products and I know that these magic products will disappear without bees. Now many countries around the world suffer from the loss of bees, it's a really big problem. It is important to remember that bee products are a true gift to us from the bees. Therefore it is necessary to support them and save.

I think that the result of collaboration between scientists and WSBF should be ecological beekeeping - creating a favorable ecological environment and conditions for honeyflow. Only then we’ll have “the right bees which will give the right honey”.
