As it befits in the world of bees, Autumn - 2009 brings wonderful results.

0n the 20th of September the 41th Congress of the International Federation of Beekeepers’ Associations “Apimondia 2009” came to an end. The forum was visited by about 10 thousand beekeepers, entomologists and other experts related to beekeeping. Particular emphasis this year was laid on the disappearance of bees, which started in the world several years ago.

Truly speaking, it was one more congress for the rest of the world but for the World Save the Bees Fund it was a powerful start – it is the place where World Save the Bees Fund was presented. Now we are proud to say that many Apimondia delegates support and share our ideas! No one stays indifferent to the problem of saving the bees!



WSBF is known all over the world: Europe and Asia, the USA, Brazil and Mexico… Beekeepers and manufactures of beekeeping products from more than 40 countries got certificates confirming that they joined the initiative of the International Bees’ Protection Day.

The delegates intended launching representative offices of WSBF in their countries. The Visitors’ Book had been completely full two days before the closing ceremony.



The report on the results of “Agrarian Franchise”, a project of WSBF and the Tentorium Apicompany’s partnership, had a great success at the conference of Apimondia. Nicola Bradbear (President of "Bees for Development, UK) and Harriet Eeles (President of the Agricultural Cooperative of Southern Beekeepers, Chile), which were the members of Apimondia Standing Commission Beekeeping For Rural Development, commended the work and offered to post our materials on their information portal www.beesfordevelopment.org



It is the first step as now we are processing data got at the congress.
